How I think. Trying to focus creativity! 04/25/2011
If a picture is worth a thousand words....here is mine!! I will write on this as soon as I can focus long enough to get the words out!! Add Comment What's LOVE got to do with it? Everything! 03/23/2011
![]() 'LOVE 2011' acrylic on canvasArtist: Jen Droske What does love got to do with it? First of all, with what? With LIFE. Love has everything to do with life! If you don't know love, you won't have joy, peace, passion, purpose, hope, giving, etc ............. Love is the foundation of human life, what we are, who we are suppose to be. God is LOVE! So if you don't know LOVE, does that mean you don't have a personal relationship with Christ? Some people know what love is suppose to be. Others read the book and can act it out pretty good. So how do you know if you really understand love? How do you know if you truly are loving others like God wants us to love others. Here is a little test I give myself; How are you doing loving your enemies? That is the ticket! If you can love (and by love I mean, forgive, let go) of those who have hurt you, let you down, hurt someone you love....then you are staring to grasp the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, the Agape Love that God has for humankind. It will break you, make you, shape you and mold you into everything that God wants you to be when you can surrender yourself, your offenses, and your life to Christ. It is not the easy way, nor the most enjoyable to forgive, help, or give grace to people who let us down, but TRUST me....if you do...your life will be blessed. This does not mean you have to be best friends with that person, it does not even mean that you will not need to talk to someone for healing because of all the pain they caused you, but it does set you free to let God begin working in your life. You have to give it to GOD, so HE can in return GIVE it to you! Love others, love God. Receive love from others and most importantly, receive the free gift of LOVE that God has for you today!! Blessings and love to you! Jen Me and my crazy life! 03/22/2011
Okay, so do you ever feel like you are crazy busy? I feel that way 110% of the time. I am a full time art teacher for 200 middle school students a day. A business owner, artist, mommy, wife and local church small group leader. I love doing what I do, I just act a little nutty some times. I often think of an older song that pops up in my mind and it goes; "don't drink, don't smoke, what do you do?".........I work. I really don't watch tv and I do not drink (or smoke) anymore so that frees up lots of time :-) I love to work and I think that is becuase I work for my Father! I am about my father's business. It really does not feel like work to me, except grading papers and that is just blaaaah. I put off doing the things I don't like doing, but I think that is pretty normal. I procrastinate the boring or not fun stuff. I will get it done when I need to turn it in, but that is normally last minute. I pray that I could be more organize and better with time management, but for now....I will continue to be the best that I can be with God helping me every minute! Gotta run, going to the cd release party for Echoing Angels tonight and really want to take a painting with me to donate to Kevin and Taylor at 104.7 The Fish. They are great....we love working with them. Be blessed and be about your Heavenly Father's business......it will bring you much joy even on tough days! Create everyday....it is good for your soul!! Do you feel like there is more to life but don't know how to get it? Perhaps you a believer and have noticed that there are some Christians who seem to be on a totally different level, and you find yourself wishing you could have some of what it is they possess. What they possess is passion, and they've discovered how to use that passion to fulfill their life's purpose. If you're living without this insatiable driving force, you are most likely living in "the safe zone." In "the safe zone", people live in utter conformity; a bland existence void of the best God has for you. Question: Have you thought about looking for your passion? Chances are you are staring it in the face, you just don't recognize it as your passion. Here are some things to get you started:
So bottom line with all of that being said, I create for God and only God! It is my heart and prayer that my art will visually reach people in and out of the church. What you can't hear, you will hopefully be able to see! So my question to you is, are you in the safe zone, or are you out of the box, serving your purpose and passion? Look at the picture.....it will show you more than I can say! Blessings to you! Jen I know for a fact and from a heart wrenching personal experience, when you help others you will begin to heal. For a long time I talked about my despair, the problems that I faced, and the damage this world did to me and my first child. One day, my new 'god sent' husband, Michael, said to me, "Do you think if you stop talking about the situation you will start to fell better?" He encouraged me and reassured me that he knew what I was going through was very painful, horrible actually, but that I had to give God control of the situation. It was that day, about 3 years ago that I fully gave my situation to GOD. Since then, my art work has flourished, I forgave and started praying for the person that caused my daughter and I all the pain to begin with, then starting moving forward with life. I began reaching out to help others in the community and local church. I started giving my time, talent and money to support hurting women and children. It was not long after than I emotionally felt like my situation was turning around and I was letting God heal my heart! What I can say because I have been through the valley of despair; #1. Trust God. #2 Lean not on your own understanding. #3 Help others in need. #4 Press forward with what ever that hobby/passion is that you love to do! God has a plan for your life, greater than your problem! You are precious, you are loved! Creatively Yours, Jen Sometimes words are not enough to get your point across. Part of what I do is paint, draw, $ create in visual ways, what I am thinking or trying to say. I have painted and drawn many of my revelations of who Christ is in my life and how it all works. It is amazing to me the power of visually seeing a topic or subject that is sometimes hard to explain. I am looking forward to breaking language and religion barriers this year with VISUAL Teachings of God's Word! May God Bless you today! BE BOLD! BE UNSTOPPABLE! Acts 28:31 I will be posting some Visual Teachings up soon!! Creatively Yours, Jen Droske Art for a Cause! Do you have any to share? 03/03/2011
Art is so powerful!! What better way to get a message out than by people seeing it! While many people come to church and listen to the word, others go to conferences to listen, and many listen on-line. What about the people who do not want to listen...you can not even have a conversation with them due to a language barrier, or a religious barrier. It is really hard for someone to close their eyes as they walk by you or to not see your artwork in public! If you can get your message across visually....you might be able to get their attention just enough to 'listen!" |
